Fundamentals of Musical Improv

Service Description

Want to dip your toe into the world of musical improv? Whether you want to break into musical improv as a performer, or just have a blast, our musical improv class is a fun & supportive environment. Available for people who have a background in Improv and/or Vocal Performance. Get ready to have fun. You'll learn the basics and not-so-basics of musical improv scene work including song structure, musical genres, and more. Instructors: Brianne Halverson and Vikram Perry -- 6 classes including a class show. -- The focus will be on having fun and learning how to improvise a song and play musical improv games. You'll have the opportunity to put the techniques you've learned in class up on stage during the class show. -- Free tickets to Front Porch Improv shows so that you can see some of the techniques you've been working on in class demonstrated on stage.
