Mix summer and silliness, and you get Improv Theater Camp!
Join Front Porch Improv for one of our week-long day camps, where campers gain life and leadership skills used by the best performers. At camp, young improvisors will learn how to communicate effectively, gain confidence in their own creativity, and build friendships as part of an ensemble.
Our week-long classes take place from 9 to 3 PM on Monday through Friday. At the end of the week, parents and loved ones are treated to an informal end-of-camp demonstration, where campers will show off their new skills. Get silly with Front Porch!
*Improv Comedy* – Explore the fundamentals of improv and the science of silliness. Develop skills like creative thinking, self-confidence, listening, brainstorming, team building, empathy, and communication, while having loads of fun and laughs.
*Writing & Storytelling* – Learn the art of public speaking, storytelling, and character development.
*Clowning & Physical Comedy* – Being comfortable in our bodies is so important. Kids will have the freedom of movement and self-expression in this class.
*Theater Arts and Craft* – A fun guided-play experience for students to work on projects with classmates, design and create props and costumes, some of which will be used in their final productions. Everyday is an exciting new activity!
EXTRA CAMP OPTION | 3pm - 5pm
*Games & Movies* After a day of improv and sketch comedy, it's time to relax and hang out! Students are allowed to watch a movie or join one another in a board game tournament. This optional activity time lasts from 3:00-5:00pm, and meets each day except for the final day of camp.
We have a team of dedicated improvisors, actors, and teachers with tons of experience! Our talented team has led workshops and theater summer camps all over the country including Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and--of course!--Savannah. Front Porch Improv proudly has a reputation for teaching vital communication skills while having tons of fun! All of our staff goes through a thorough background check for the safety of all.
