AUDITION BREAKDOWN Thank you for your interest in this audition. We doing a run of improvised Shakespeare shows in July. We are casting 5 actors to participate.
Looking for the following:
Positive and supportive energy
Someone who consistently shows up on time
Interest in Shakespeare and willing to study 3-5 plays
Someone who knows how to be a good teammate
The ability to speak loudly so you are easily heard
Black, Indigenous and people of color, and queer people encouraged to audition.
Willingness to try new things and make mistakes!
Bonus if you sing, play the guitar or the flute, know how to fence, and/or have experience in stage combat
Lives in the Savannah, GA area
No previous experience needed. Shakespeare experience a major bonus
CASTING: 5 Actors -At least 18 years old
-Attends all rehearsals and shows
AUDITIONS:
Sunday, May 5, 2024
Between 6pm - 9pm (you'll be able to select an audition time slot)
Front Porch Improv, 210 W Victory Drive, Savannah GA
Auditions will be in groups of 6 people.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Prepare a Shakespeare Soliloquy to perform during the audition. (HERE are a few suggestions or bring your own.)
Some activities may be physical and/or done standing while others will be done sitting. We know bodies move in different ways, and we're happy to adapt our activities to what your body is up for! June 2024 - Rehearse Thursday & Sundays 8pm - 10pm
July 2024 - Rehearse Thursdays, 8pm - 10pm
Tech Week: July 1, 2, 3 - 7pm - 10pm
PERFORMANCES
July 2024 - Shows Friday & Saturday at 8:30pm
Compensation: $50 per show performed
